Deliveries

The surgery dispensary provides a home delivery service for dispensing patients who are housebound or are unable to collect due to illness or mobility problems.

The dispensary requires the patient to complete a consent form in order for them to provide this service. If the patient is for any reason unable to complete the consent form, a relative/carer can do this for them.

Details of services provided:

  • Deliveries are on a Tuesday morning between 10am – 12 noon. Thursday morning between 10am – 12 noon
  • The patient will be expected to sign for their delivery. Medication cannot be left in a porch, outhouse or posted through the letterbox.
  • If a patient is going to be out i.e. hospital appointment, etc. then we would ask you to inform the dispensary in good time and arrange an alternative delivery time or arrange for another person to collect the medication from the dispensary.
  • Medication cannot be left with a neighbour unless their consent in writing is obtained.
  • The normal 72 hour (3 clear working days) repeat prescription request time still applies.
